I like to knit the front bands in one piece, with steeks at the top and bottom. I turn the bottom steeks under to form facings to reinforce the bottom edge. That way, when I tug on the sweater to straighten it, the bottom corner doesn't get stretched out of shape. For Erin I will knit the collar band last, to cover the ends of the top steek. Getting close to finishing this sweater!

Cast on, knit, and cast off Friday night - took about 3 hours to knit. I'm trying to get back on schedule of one block a month. Tour de Fleece and then Ravellenic Games put me behind my schedule, but I made great progress towards my goals! My Erin is on hold right now until the two skeins I need to finish arrive. So yesterday I worked on my St. Enda and got almost four inches done on the second sleeve. That puts me almost halfway on the second sleeve. I might end up with three new Starmores to wear this fall/winter!

That little end of tan yarn? That's the end of my J & S 32 yarn and I have to find a shop with more before I can knit anymore on Erin. But that's okay, because I'm over my procrastination hump! Personally, I'm a winner because I finished the first sleeve and I'm past the halfway point on the second sleeve. Congratulations to all the Ravellenic Games participants - we're all winners for making the effort.
