Project bag for Sirkler Cardigan

After much temptation on Ravelry's Stranded group, I am giving in and getting ready to start my cardigan, lol! I dug out my Kauni last night and discovered one of the balls is not the Rainbow, it's yellow and green. So I need to buy another ball next payday to make sure I have enough to knit the sweater on hand. I'm pretty sure I'm going to knit the small size so I don't have too much ease. It's so funny to be considering making a small for me after making large or medium for so long, lol!

Knit in Eco Alpaca in natural white for Christmas 2013. So nice to have a head start on next year's gifts! Two of five done!

Snowflake Fingerless Gloves cast on!

I'm knitting these with Grandpa Walter's steel needles, the ones he used to knit socks for the soldiers in WWI. I've been wanting to use these needles for anothe project and these mitts qualify! They have been on my to-knit list for quite a while and I plan to teach the pattern in an upcoming class.

First blanket block done!

I'm knitting blocks for the blanket project that Sharon from Three Irish Girls is doing for the families who lost a loved one in Newtown, CT. I plan to knit as many as I can from one skein of Cascade 220 Superwash. I'll put the blocks into a Large Priority Flat Rate box and pass it around my local Rav group so others can add their blocks. Then I'll pay for the shipping as part of my donation.

Christmas gift for best friend - done! This pattern is easily customizable, using two peerie patterns on the back of the mitten. I plant to knit a pair in other colors for one of my nieces next.
