Nutcracker Mittens are done!

Did both thumbs today while having tea with a friend at a local cafe, then came home and soaked them while eating dinner. They are now drying on the rack and will go into the gift basket when they are dry. This is the first of seven WIPs I want to finish before starting one of the kits I bought with my Mom's bequest.

Tonight I plan to relax on thd couch with a mug of tea, Zauberflote, and some movies on Netflix while DH spins more of his fleece. He's hoping to get several boxes of locks spun up before Black Sheep Gathering the end of June. He's already talking about what breed of fleece to look for to buy, lol! Think I've really got him hooked on spinning, yes?

Zemgale mitten with four colors per round.

An interesting challenge to knit with four strands of Shetland yarn (very sticky!) on size 0000 dpns. But it keeps drawing me back to do 'one more round' lol! I'm loving this pattern more the further I get into it. Will most likely make the second mitten so I can wear them in public.

VY kit for Rosarie arrived!

I took the box outside to get the full glory of the rich colors. Now she will go into my stash until I get at least half of my WIPs finished. Part of my Mom's bequest to me after her death. I love you, Mom! And I miss you, I'll be thinking of you as I knit and then wear these beautiful sweaters.

Digging Fulmar out of hibernation.

Now to figure out where I am in the pattern repeats before I start knitting. I discovered that I started this on 10-1-2007, so definitely my oldest knitting WIP at this time.
